Last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy M22 in some markets. It is the rebranded version of the Galaxy A22, and both phones have the exact specifications and design language. The device debuted with Android 11-based One UI 3.1 software. Now, the Galaxy M22 has started getting its second major Android OS update.
The Galaxy M22 is getting the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update in Europe with firmware version M225FVXXU4CVK3. The update also brings the October 2022 security patch that fixes dozens of security vulnerabilities. The new software is currently rolling out in France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, the Netherlands, and the UK.
If you have the Galaxy M22 and if you reside in any of the countries mentioned above, you can now install the Android 13 update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy M22 in mid-2021 with Android 11 onboard. Earlier this year, the mid-range smartphone received the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update.
