Samsung launched the Galaxy M23 5G earlier this year with Android 12 and One UI 4.1 onboard. Almost nine months after the launch, the company is now rolling out the Android 13 update to the smartphone with One UI 5.0 customizations.
The new software update comes with firmware version M236BXXU1BVK5, and it is rolling out to the Galaxy M23 5G (SM-M236B) in Europe. The update brings Android 13 along with One UI 5.0 customizations. However, it still packs the November 2022 security patch instead of the December 2022 security patch. Other regions should also get the new update very soon.
If you live in Europe, your Galaxy M23 5G should notify you about the update, but if it hasn't, you can check for the update manually by going to Settings » Software Update and clicking on Download and install. You can also download the new firmware from our database and flash it manually. Don't forget to back up all your data before flashing the firmware.
The Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update brings a bunch of new features and performance improvements. You can check them out in the video embedded below. The Galaxy M23 5G is supposed to get Android updates for three years, which means that it will get Android 14 as well as Android 15 in the future. According to a recent leak, Samsung will launch the Galaxy M23 5G in India very soon.
