Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy M33 5G after three months. The mid-range phone that was launched last year is now getting the June 2023 security update in the Latin American market. We expect other countries to get the update within the next few weeks.
The latest software update for the Galaxy M33 5G comes with firmware version M336BXXU5CWF2. The update is currently available in Panama, and other Latin American countries could get the update soon. The new update includes the June 2023 security patch that fixes over 50 security flaws found in Galaxy phones and tablets. It doesn't bring any new features or performance improvements.
Galaxy M33 5G June 2023 update: How to install it?
If you have a Galaxy M33 5G and live in Panama, you can now check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. However, you would need a PC running the Windows operating system and Samsung's Odin tool to perform the manual firmware flashing process.
Samsung launched the Galaxy M33 5G last year with Android 12 onboard. The mid-range smartphone received the Android 13 update late last year and the One UI 5.1 update a few months ago. It is expected to get the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update sometime later this year.
