Samsung has reportedly confirmed the launch date for the Galaxy M35 in India. According to new bits of information, the mid-range M-branded phone is coming soon after Unpacked 2024 and will become official even earlier than Amazon Prime Day kicks off.
Samsung will introduce the Galaxy M35 to India on July 17, revealed local publication The Hindu earlier today. That's exactly one week after Unpacked in Paris.
Make no mistake. Despite this narrow time frame, the Galaxy M35 won't even get close to the stage in Paris. Galaxy Unpacked 2024 will focus on premium foldable phones and wearables, whereas the M35 is a humbler device. But it is something to look forward to if you're not in the market for foldable Galaxy flagships.
Galaxy M35 specs get reconfirmed
By now, the Galaxy M35 holds no mysteries, but nevertheless, The Hindu claims that Samsung recently reconfirmed the phone's specifications ahead of its release in India.
The Galaxy M35 is very much built on the same DNA as the Galaxy A35, the latter of which we called “The reasonable choice” in our review. The Galaxy M35 sports s a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with an Infinity-O camera cutout, 1000 nits of brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The M-branded phone is also powered by the same Exynos 1380 chip as the A35 and A54. And it packs a 50MP primary camera along with an 8MP ultrawide shooter and a 5MP macro lens.
Two big differences between the Galaxy A35 and M35 are that the M-branded phone lacks dust and water resistance but sports a larger 6,000mAh battery.
Lastly, even though the phone might become official in India on July 17, it is possible that it won't go on sale before July 20 on Amazon Prime Day. Another possibility is that the phone will go on sale early at Samsung's online shop in India and then hit the online shelves at Amazon a few days later.
