Early last month, Samsung released the May 2023 security update to the Galaxy M53 5G in Latin American countries. Now, the company has released last month's security update to the Galaxy M53 5G in South Korea. Other regions haven't received this update yet.

The latest software update for the Galaxy M53 5G comes with firmware version M536SKSU3CWF1. The update is available in South Korea on SK Telecom's network. The May 2023 security patch included in the update fixes over 70 security flaws found in the smartphone. It doesn't bring any new features or performance improvements.

If you have a Galaxy M53 5G in South Korea, you can now download and install the new software update. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also choose to download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows PC and the Odin tool.

Samsung launched the Galayx M53 5G last year with Android 12 onboard. The device received the Android 13 update late last year and will get the Android 14 update later this year. It was launched with a promise of three major Android OS updates.
