Samsung will soon launch a mid-range smartphone that can match high-end Galaxy S smartphones in some aspects. The Galaxy M55 is a modified version of the Galaxy A55, but it has some features that are even better than the Galaxy A55. Its specifications have now leaked.
Galaxy M55 specifications revealed before the announcement
According to a report from MSPowerUser, the Galaxy M55 has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It can reportedly reach a peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits in High Brightness Mode (HBM). It also features an under-display fingerprint reader.
On the rear, it has a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. More importantly, it reportedly features a 50MP selfie camera on the front, making it the highest-resolution selfie camera ever on a Samsung smartphone. The report also claims that the phone has Dual Recording, Nightography, and 4K videos with VDIS (EIS for videos).
The Galaxy M55 is equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, up to 12GB RAM, and up to 256GB internal storage. It has a microSD card slot, too. It runs Android 14 (One UI 6.x) and will reportedly get five Android OS updates.
Other features of the upcoming phone include Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It will be available in Mint/Light Green and Navy color options. Depending on the pricing, it could be a terrific value-for-money smartphone.
