The international variants of the Galaxy Note 10 series received the July 2021 security update early last month. A few days later, the update was released to the unlocked variants of the Galaxy Note 10 in the US. Now, Samsung has started rolling out the July 2021 security update to the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G in the US.
Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G on T-Mobile's network. The new software has firmware version N976USQU5EUF1 and includes the July 2021 security patch. Samsung had revealed last month that the July 2021 update fixes some 20 vulnerabilities related to privacy and security.
If you are using the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G on T-Mobile's network in the US, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. The update could be released on more networks over the next few days.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy Note 10 series two years ago with Android 9 Pie-based One UI. The Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10+ received the Android 10-based One UI 2 update last year and the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update in December 2020.
