Samsung is at it again: It has released the next month's security patch for more of its flagship phones earlier than you would expect. The Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ are currently getting a new update — software version N97*FXXS1ASKB — with the December security patch in nearly 25 European markets, the full list of which can be found in our firmware section (Note 10 | Note 10+).
Samsung is also updating the Galaxy Note 9 with the December patch, although the 2018 Note is only getting the update (software version N960FXXS4CSK2) in Germany at this time. Both the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 9 updates are only bringing the new security patch. There's nothing in the way of new functionality included in the update, which shouldn't be too surprising considering Samsung is running an Android 10 beta program for both flagships right now.
Whether you own a Galaxy Note 10, Note 10+, or Galaxy Note 9, you should be able to grab the update over the air by opening the Settings app on the device, selecting Software update, and tapping Download and install. You can also make the jump to the latest software by downloading the firmware for your device from our firmware archive.
