Samsung continues the May 2021 security patch rollout and the latest series of Galaxy devices to receive a firmware update with improved security is the Galaxy Note 10. The company began updating the Galaxy Note 10 Lite over the weekend, and not to be outdone by a non-premium variant, the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ / Note 10+ 5G are now getting a similar firmware update in Europe.
Galaxy Note 10 / Note 10+ owners can identify the latest update by firmware version N97xxXXU7FUE3, and by the fact that it brings the May 2021 security patch along with it. The good news continues, as it looks like the latest update is improving other areas aside from security.
Quick Share and Camera improvements are included
Along with improved security thanks to the newer patch, Samsung claims that the latest firmware update should also improve the performance of the camera, all the while enhancing Quick Share and the file sharing experience between Galaxy devices. These changes were introduced to other Galaxy devices with the May 2021 security patch.
Samsung began updating the Galaxy Note 10, Note 10+, and Note 10+ 5G in Europe, with Germany and Switzerland seemingly having a higher priority over other markets. But as always, the update will gradually expand to reach other markets soon, so make sure you keep an eye out for update notifications, or trigger the update from the Settings app on your phone by accessing the Software update menu.
And as usual, SamMobile offers readers an alternative method of acquiring official Samsung firmware updates from our firmware archive. Just make sure you're searching for the correct Galaxy model for your region and / or network operator before you download.
