The Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ continue to receive regular security updates more than three years and a half since launch, and so does the Galaxy Note 10 Lite, which launched in early 2021. The flagship models were updated with the April 2023 security patch a couple of weeks back, and the Note 10 Lite is now getting a similar update.
Some countries in Central America started receiving the April 2023 security update for the Galaxy Note 10 Lite late last week. The update comes with firmware version N770FXXS9HWD1, and as expected for a device in its fourth year of support, the update brings nothing new other than enhanced secuity.
The April 2023 security patch fixes more than 60 vulnerabilities that affect the core Android OS and Samsung's own software. The fixes include some for vulnerabilities that affect Samsung's Exynos chips and modems, though the Galaxy Note 10 Lite's Exynos 9810 chipset isn't on the list. More details on the April patch are available here for those interested.
Galaxy Note 10 Lite owners interested in grabbing the latest update can do so by tapping the Download and install option in their phone's Settings » Software update menu. That's the over-the-air way of updating; if you would rather upgrade your phone using a Windows PC, you can download the complete firmware from our archive to do so.
