Last month, Samsung released the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update to the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Now, the company has released a new software update to those devices to improve their security and stability.
The 5G variants of the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra are getting a new software update with firmware version N98xBXXS3FVC8 in Poland, Switzerland, and the Baltic region. The LTE variant of the Galaxy Note 20 is getting the new security update with firmware version N980FXXS3FVC8 in various European countries.
This new update brings the April 2022 security patch that claims to fix over 88 privacy and security vulnerabilities. The update could also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements. Galaxy Note 20 series phones in more countries worldwide could get the update within the next few weeks.
If you are a Galaxy Note 20 user in Europe, you can soon download the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the appropriate firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy Note 20 series in the second half of 2020 with Android 10-based One UI 2.5. The phones got the Android 11-based One UI 3 update in early 2021 and the Android 12-based One UI 4 update in early 2022.
