Last week, Samsung released the July 2023 security update to the Galaxy Note 20 series in Latin America and the US. Now, the company is releasing the new update in more countries, including the ones in Europe. More regions could get the update within the next few days.
The latest software update for the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra bears firmware version N98xBXXS7HWG1. The update is available in Germany and other European countries. It is a small update that's focused on improving the security of the phone. The July 2023 security patch that's included in the new update fixes over 90 security vulnerabilities found in the previous version of the software.
If you have a Galaxy Note 20 series phone and if you live in Europe, you can now check for the new update. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
The Galaxy Note 20 series was Samsung's last Galaxy Note lineup of phones. The phones were launched in late 2020 with Android 10 onboard, and they received the Android 11 update in late 2020. Samsung released the Android 12 update to those phones in late 2021 and the Android 13 update in late 2022.
