Samsung has been on a roll over the past few weeks. It has released the One UI 5.0 beta update to various smartphones, including the Galaxy A52, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Now, the company has expanded the One UI 5.0 beta update for the Galaxy Note 20 in more markets.
The South Korean firm has released the first One UI 5.0 beta update to the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in South Korea. In the US, though, the company has released the second One UI 5.0 beta update to the Galaxy Note 20 series. The latest One UI 5.0 beta update comes with firmware version ZVJ8 in the US.
The second One UI 5.0 beta update for the Galaxy Note 20 series in the US mostly brings bug fixes rather than feature additions. The new software fixes bugs related to autofocus in the camera app's Pro mode when using Full HD 60fps and 4K 60fps settings. It also fixes software crashes, memory leak issues, and UI sluggishness. The phone also faced kernel panic issues when using the screen as the DeX Pad in Samsung DeX. It also removes the Google Discover feed on the home screen's leftmost panel.
If you have registered your Galaxy Note 20 series device to beta-test One UI 5.0, you can download the new software by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. Samsung could release two or three more beta updates before rolling out the stable update later this year.
