Last week, Samsung released the first One UI 5.0 beta update to the Galaxy Note 20 series in South Korea. Today, the company released the second One UI 5.0 beta update to the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in the country. The new update mostly brings bug fixes and performance updates, not new features.
The second One UI 5.0 beta update, based on Android 13, is now available in South Korea with a firmware version ending ZVJE. It fixes issues related to the Tmap app, which forced quit when using in the split screen mode. It also fixes memory leak issues and the blank screen issue when watching Netflix videos in the pop-up view.
The first One UI 5.0 beta update caused the screen unlock effect to disappear when using the fingerprint. The camera app also shut down when using the Night mode and consumed a lot of power while zooming in. Samsung has fixed those issues as well. The company said some problems related to TeamViewer, Woori WON card, and fast charging haven't been fixed yet.
If you are someone who registered their Galaxy Note 20 or Galaxy Note 20 Ultra to beta-test One UI 5.0 in South Korea, you can now install the second One UI 5.0 beta update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. The company could release the stable Android 13 update sometime next month.
