Samsung's Expert RAW camera app debuted with support for the Galaxy S21 Ultra last year. Earlier this year, the app started supporting the Galaxy S22+ and the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The South Korean firm has now released a newer version of this app with support for three more smartphones.
The company announced in the Samsung Members community forum earlier today that it has added support for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy S20 Ultra, and the Galaxy Z Fold 2. The update is now live on the Galaxy Store and comes with version 1.0.05.4. The company mentioned that the app might not be as fast on these older phones as on newer devices.
The Expert RAW camera app is made specifically for those who want to capture images in 16-bit DNG RAW format and edit them later in apps like Adobe Lightroom. In fact, the app has a direct shortcut that imports the image in the Adobe Lightroom app, where you can edit it. Samsung captures images with multi-frame noise reduction and a wider dynamic range.
The Expert RAW camera app is also compatible with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4. It displays various expert-level controls, including ISO, shutter speed, exposure value, focus, white balance, metering, and a histogram. The app works across ultrawide, wide, and telephoto cameras on the phone.
