Samsung may have struck gold with the Galaxy Ring. The company's first smart ring might be a huge success already, assuming that the Samsung e-shop in the US is anything to go by.
We can confirm that the Galaxy Ring was available for pre-order just a couple of days ago, moments before we published the story about how you can find the perfect Galaxy Ring size. Now, however, the Galaxy Ring is no longer in stock — at least in the USA.
Thankfully, you can still pre-order the Galaxy Ring in markets like the UK, Germany, and many others. However, if you go to Samsung's e-shop in the USA as of this writing, you're out of luck.
Samsung states that, “It's not you. It's us. We can't make them fast enough.” Prospective buyers can sign up with an email address or phone number to receive notifications once the Galaxy Ring is back in stock.
Why do people like the Galaxy Ring?
If the Galaxy Ring is selling like hotcakes in some markets, as it seems to be doing, it's likely because it is a brand-new and exciting product. Furthermore, the Galaxy Ring gives Samsung Health users the opportunity to track health and fitness data without having to wear a smartwatch. And for people who would much prefer wearing regular watches, the Galaxy Ring is a breath of fresh air.
Normally, the Galaxy Ring is available in three colors: Titanium Silver, Titanium Black, and Titanium Gold, and nine sizes: 5-through13. It can track the wearer's movement during sleep, sleep latency, and heart and respiratory rates. It also boasts Auto Workout Detection and Cycle Tracking through a skin temperature sensor and a clever algorithm.
