Samsung is rolling out a new software update to the carrier-unlocked variant of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra in the United States that offers the August 2024 security patch, which offers fixes for 50 security issues.
This comes after the company released the latest security update to the European variants of three smartphones. It is yet to roll it out to other variants of these devices, including carrier-locked models for the US and the International versions.

The new software update will change the phone’s firmware version to G981U1UESAHXG1. To get this firmware, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. That is if your Galaxy S20 hasn’t already notified you about it. Another option to get it is to download it from our firmware section and install it using Odin.
