Samsung is bringing a new version of the Galaxy S20 FE to Mexico. The original Fan Edition device initially debuted in 2020, but Samsung claims that this new model for Mexico is the 2022 version — presumably the same one that got re-released in South Korea last month.

To mark the occasion, Samsung Mexico offers the Galaxy S20 FE 5G (2022) at a discount for a limited time. Therefore, customers buying the new Fan Edition device before May 11 can save MXN 500 ($24) on the 128GB model and MXN 1,500 ($74) on the 256GB variant.

So, until May 11, the 128GB Galaxy S20 FE 5G (2022) is available in Mexico for MXN 13,499 ($667), whereas the 256GB variant costs MXN 14,999 ($741). The 2022 model is available in five color options: blue, mint, red, violet, and white.

What's different about the Galaxy S20 FE 5G (2022) model?

To save you the suspense, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G (2022) is essentially the same as the 2020 model. If there are any changes to this new variant, Samsung hasn't highlighted them. It could be that the phone ships with Android 12 and One UI 4.1, which means it might enjoy firmware support for longer than the 2020 model.

The Galaxy S20 FE 5G (2022) features a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED 120Hz display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, and it's powered by a Snapdragon 865 5G chipset and 6GB of RAM.

The camera setup consists of a 12MP wide shooter, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 32MP selfie sensor with 4K recording capabilities.

It's unclear if Samsung will bring the Galaxy S20 FE 5G (2022) to other markets besides South Korea and Mexico, but we'll keep you posted.
