Samsung had released the Android 12 update to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in Europe three weeks ago. This week, the South Korean firm has released the update to the Galaxy S20 FE and the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in Asian markets, including India.
The Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update for the Galaxy S20 FE comes with firmware version G780FXXS8DUL6 in India. For the Galaxy S20 FE 5G, the Android 12 update has firmware version G781BXXU4DUL9. Both updates include the December 2021 security patch for fixing existing privacy and security-related vulnerabilities.
Samsung has also released the update to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in Israel, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand, and the Philippines. The Galaxy S20 FE (SM-G780F) has also received the Android 12 update in Austria, Turkey, and Vietnam with the firmware version mentioned above.
If you are a Galaxy S20 FE or Galaxy S20 FE 5G user in any of the markets mentioned above, you can check for the Android 12 update by heading to Settings » Software update and clicking on Download and install. You can also download the respective firmware file mentioned above from our firmware database and flash it manually.
