Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G. Currently, this update is only available to the phone's carrier-locked version in the USA. It brings a new security patch to make the phone more secure.
Galaxy S20 FE 5G's USA carrier-locked version gets updated with January 2025 patch
The new software update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G is now available for the carrier-locked version in the USA. It is available for units that are on AT&T and Dish Wireless mobile networks. The phone's previous update came four months ago.
The update comes bearing firmware version G781USQSKHXL2 and includes the January 2025 security patch, which fixes several loopholes found in the previous software. The update doesn't bring any new features or performance enhancements.
If you have a Galaxy S20 FE 5G and live in the USA, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
You can also flash the appropriate firmware file manually using Odin, but you need to be well-versed in the process and download that firmware file from our database.
