Earlier today, Samsung released the newest security update to the Galaxy S20 series. Now, the company has released the update to the Galaxy S20 FE. The update is now available to both LTE and 5G versions of the smartphone across Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
This update fixes over 90 security flaws found in Galaxy phones and tablets. Samsung could release the update in more countries soon.
Galaxy S20 FE July 2023 security update: Where has it been released?
The latest software update for the LTE version of the Galaxy S20 FE comes with firmware version G780FXXSDFWG3. It is available in Afghanistan, Albania, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, Caucasus Countries, Chile, Czech Republic, Egypt, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Indonesia, Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Libya, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Philippines, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, the Netherlands, the UAE, the UK, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
The new software update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G bears firmware version G781BXXS7HWF3, and it is available in Australia, Austria, Baltic, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Nordic countries, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, the Netherlands, the UAE, and the UK.
If you have a Galaxy S20 FE or a Galaxy S20 FE 5G in any of the countries mentioned above, you can now check for the new update. To do that, you have to navigate to Settings » Software update and tap on Download and install. Alternatively, you can choose to flash the firmware file manually. To do that, you need to download the appropriate firmware file from our firmware database and use a computer running the Windows operating system and the Odin tool.
