Samsung has released a new software update to the Snapdragon version of the Galaxy S20 FE (LTE). This variant of the smartphone (with model number SM-G780G) was released in only a handful of markets, and if you own the device, there's a new update waiting for you.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S20 FE has firmware version G780GXXS3CVC4 and includes the April 2022 security patch. It fixes more than 80 privacy and security vulnerabilities and improves device stability. The update is rolling out in Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
If you are a Galaxy S20 FE user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the latest OTA update by heading over to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually after backing up your data.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy S20 FE in May 2021, and it was a successful device. It debuted with Android 10-based One UI 2.5 and received the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update in the first half of 2021. It received the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update a few days ago.
