Samsung has been rolling out the new security update swiftly to a lot of phones and tablets over the past three weeks. Now, the company has released the June 2023 security update to both variants of the Galaxy S20 FE (SM-G780F and SM-G780G) in some Asian and European countries.
Galaxy S20 FE June 2023 security update: What's new?
The latest software update for the Galaxy S20 FE (SM-G780F) comes with firmware version G780FXXUCFWE5. This version of the phone is getting the update in Cambodia, Malaysia, Russia, Thailand, the Philippines, the UK, and Vietnam. The SM-G780G version of the Galaxy S20 FE is getting the new update with firmware version G780GXXU5EWE5 in Europe, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The update fixes over 60 security flaws.
If you have any one of these variants of the Galaxy S20 FE and live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the newest firmware file appropriate for your phone from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 FE in late 2020 with Android 10 onboard. The phone received the Android 11 update in early 2021, the Android 12 update in late 2021, and the Android 13 update in late 2022. The Galaxy S20 FE won't get the Android 14 update.
