Samsung has released the June 2024 security update to the Galaxy S20 FE. The update was already released to the Galaxy S20 FE in the US, but only to factory-unlocked units of the phone.
Galaxy S20 FE gets June 2024 security update in Asia, Europe
The new software update for the Galaxy S20 FE is now available in several Asian and European countries. The new update comes with firmware version G780GXXSAEXF1 in Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Greece, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Indonesia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Southeast Europe, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, the Baltic region, the Caucasus region, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, the Nordic region, the Philippines, the UK, Ukraine, and Vietnam.
The new update includes the June 2024 security patch that fixes 59 security loopholes discovered in the previous software versions.
If you have a Galaxy S20 FE and live in any of the countries or regions listed above, you can check for a new update on your device. You can do that by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 FE in 2020 with Android 10 onboard. It received the Android 11 update in late 2020, the Android 12 update in late 2021, and the Android 13 update in late 2022.
