Over the past month or so, Samsung has rolled out the October 2022 security update to a lot of phones and tablets. Three weeks ago, the company released the security update to the international version of the Galaxy S20. Now, it is rolling out the October 2022 security update to the US version of the Galaxy S20.
The latest security update for the US carrier-unlocked version of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra comes with firmware version G98xU1UES3FVI6. It brings the October 2022 security patch that fixes dozens of privacy and security vulnerabilities. It might also bring general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
The update is now available for the Galaxy S20 series on various carrier networks, including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular South, Comcast, C-Spire/Nextech, Sprint, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile. You can download it by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install.
Alternatively, you can also install the new update by downloading the new firmware file for your Samsung phone from our firmware database and flashing it manually. The Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, Galaxy S20 Ultra, and Galaxy S20 FE will get the stable Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update within the next two months.
