Another bit of information surrounding the Galaxy S20 series has dropped in our lap, so strap yourselves in and get ready for the next flagship series to boast 25W and 45W fast chargers right out of the box.
Indeed, according to a recent tweet from @rquandt, both the 4G and 5G Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ will ship with 25W fast chargers in the retail package. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S20 Ultra will ship with a 45W fast charger to match the battery's prowess.
This is an unusual but welcomed turn of events for a Samsung flagship. As a reminder, the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ have both shipped with a 25W charger in the box. It maxed out the Galaxy Note 10's capabilities, but it wasn't capable of pushing the Galaxy Note 10+ battery to its 45W limits. Worst of all, the 45W fast charger for the Galaxy Note 10+ was not available for purchase separately in every market.
But as far as the Galaxy S20 series goes, Samsung seemingly wants to offer the best wired charging solution right out of the box. This means no additional expenses for customers who want the fastest battery charging possible, particularly if they intend on buying the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Then again, Samsung's top of the line might cost a pretty penny so perhaps it all evens out.
