Samsung released the stable One UI 4.0 update to the Galaxy S21 today. However, not everyone will get the update immediately. As usual, the company will release the update in a phased manner. If you are feeling impatient, and want the update on your device right away, you can download the latest firmware from our database.
The Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra comes with firmware version G99xBXXU3BUK8. You can now download this firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually on your Galaxy S21 series smartphone. Do not forget to back up your data before flashing the new firmware.
The update has only been released for unlocked international variants of the smartphones, which means that if you have a carrier-locked or unlocked variant of the smartphone, you can't install this firmware on your device. Hopefully, Samsung will release the update for the locked variants of the smartphones over the next few weeks.
Firmware builds for other parts of the world will be live soon on our website, so you should check back in a while if you can’t find a compatible image that is matching your particular device and your country just yet.
The One UI 4.0 update brings all the goodness of Android 12 along with a revamped UI design and improved stock apps. The update includes Material You-inspired color themes as well as improved privacy and security. Samsung has implemented a new widget picker UI, improved widget design, quick setting toggles to cut off camera and microphone, and a lot more.
