Samsung has released a handful of unboxing videos featuring its latest flagship series, the Galaxy S21, and although the new device trio has offered fans plenty of reasons to be excited for the near future, the unboxing experience isn't one of them.
Samsung's new flagships are being shipped to customers in smaller retail boxes than usual for the simple fact that the standard wall charger and the pair of AKG-branded wired earbuds are no longer included for free. Apparently this is a result of Samsung's efforts to reduce e-waste, but unsurprisingly, this change also makes for a duller unboxing experience than ever before.
Aside from the smartphone itself, there's nothing else to look forward to when unwrapping the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, or Galaxy S21 Ultra. You get the phone, a SIM card removal tool, and a USB-C cable so you can at least transfer data from a computer and recharge the device as long as you have a spare wall charger lying around or a powered USB port at hand.
Thankfully, the Galaxy S21 series looks gorgeous and this simple fact might make up for the lack of content and accessories inside the box, at least as far as the unboxing experience is concerned.
