Owners of the Exynos variant of the Galaxy S21 FE in some countries can now download the June 2024 security update.
The latest security update is rolling out to the Fan Edition phone in some Asian countries, including Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Indonesia. It can be identified by the build number G990EXXS9FXF1.
The Galaxy S21 FE first received the June security update in the USA, where the Snapdragon variant is sold, a few days back. The Snapdragon variant was also launched in some other markets, and they should get a similar update soon.
As confirmed by its build number, the latest Galaxy S21 FE update brings nothing but security enhancements. The June security patch includes fixes for 59 vulnerabilities discovered in previous versions of Android and One UI. 22 of the those vulnerabilities affect only Galaxy devices, and you can find more details about the patch on Samsung's website.
To download the new update on your Galaxy S21 FE, navigate to its Settings » Software update menu and tap the Download and install option. Alternatively, download Galaxy S21 FE firmware from our archives and install it on the phone using a Windows PC.
