Samsung has confirmed the Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 event for October 20. The press release for the event was a little light on the details. It suggested that perhaps new colors or customization options for existing products might be unveiled. There's also the possibility of a Galaxy Z Flip 3 BTS Edition.
There was nothing in the press release about the long-awaited Galaxy S21 FE. Samsung hasn't officially talked about this device yet. Now, a new rumor from South Korea claims that the October 20 event is actually going to bring us the Galaxy S21 FE launch.
Galaxy S21 FE launch now rumored on October 20
The Galaxy S21 FE was previously expected to be launched in August. Samsung reportedly delayed it due to the chip shortage. Some believe that the Galaxy S21 FE was delayed so that Samsung could make more of its foldable smartphones.
The latest rumor out of South Korea claims that the Galaxy S21 FE will be unveiled on October 20. Pre-orders are said to start the same day. Samsung will then release the Galaxy S21 FE on October 29. It's also claimed that Samsung has already shipped official accessories for the device to its retail and carrier partners.
There's little evidence to support this rumor at this point in time. From what we understand, the Galaxy S21 FE launch is likely in January 2022. Samsung may give the device a rather quiet launch before it unveils the Galaxy S22 series in February.
Only Samsung knows what's really up with the Galaxy S21 FE. This isn't the first time we're hearing conflicting information about the device. Do you think it may be launched on October 20? Let us know in the comments below.
