Samsung is rolling out the November 2023 security update to several phones every day. Earlier today, the update was released to the Galaxy Note 20 series. And now, the update has been released to the Galaxy S21 FE in two markets: Latin America and the USA.
Galaxy S21 FE gets November 2023 security update in Latin America and the US
The newest software update for the Galaxy S21 FE is now available in Brazil, and it comes with firmware version G990EXXS7EWK1. In the US, the new update is available for the carrier-locked model of the Galaxy S21 FE. It comes bearing firmware version G990USQS9EWK1 and is available on Metro PCS and T-Mobile networks in the country.
The new update includes the November 2023 security patch that fixes 65 vulnerabilities found in the previous software version from Samsung. It doesn't bring any new features to the smartphone, but you can expect several new features and improvements with the stable Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update that will be released to the Galaxy S21 FE before the end of this year.
If you have a Galaxy S21 FE and live in Brazil or the US, you can now check for the new update right away. You can do that by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also flash the new software manually by downloading the new firmware file from our database and using the Odin tool on a computer running Windows OS.
Author's Note: Since Samsung is expected to release the stable Android 14 update to the Galaxy S21 FE before the end of next month, we expect the November 2023 security update to be the last minor update that will be released to the smartphone before the One UI 6.0 update arrives.
