Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy S21 FE in Asia, Europe, and the USA. This update fixes dozens of security loopholes discovered in the previous software version. It makes your phone even more secure against external attacks.
In Asia, the update is rolling out with firmware version G990EXXSCFXJ3 in the following Asian countries:

In Europe, the slightly newer units of the Galaxy S21 FE (model number SM-G990B2) are getting the update with firmware version G990B2XXSAGXJ3. The update is available in all European countries.
The carrier-locked variant of the Galaxy S21 FE is getting the new software update in the USA. It comes with firmware version G990USQSEGXJ6 and is currently available on Comcast and Xfinity Mobile networks.

Since its release, the Galaxy S21 FE has received two major Android OS updates. It will likely receive the Android 15 (One UI 7.0) update sometime early next year and the Android 16 (One UI 8.0) update in late 2025.
