Samsung has released the One UI 6.1 update to the Galaxy S21 FE in Europe. The smartphone received the update in the US a few days ago, and it may get the update in other countries and regions over the next few days. The update brings several new features with its major software update.
Galaxy S21 FE gets One UI 6.1 update in Europe, starting with Germany
The One UI 6.1 update is now available for the Galaxy S21 FE in Europe, starting with Germany. The update comes with firmware version G990B2XXU6GXD6 and has a download size of over 2GB. The update is still using the April 2024 security patch rather than the May 2024 patch. If you have a Galaxy S21 FE and live in Europe, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install.
One UI 6.1 features for Galaxy S21 FE
The update brings only some AI features that improve the image editing experience. Other Galaxy AI features, including real-time language translation during calls and messaging, aren't available on the Galaxy S21 FE. Other new One UI features, including new conditions for Modes & Routines, better search in the Gallery app, customizable alerts for alarms and reminders, more custom stickers in the Calendar app, and the Samsung Find app, have also been released to the phone.

Other One UI 6.1 features include syncing of web browser tab groups in Samsung Internet with other devices using the same Samsung account, end-to-end encryption in Samsung Cloud, passkeys support in Samsung Wallet, and the ability to select custom daily targets in Samsung Health. The Weather widget now shows more information. You can open all minimized app windows at once and dictate text using voice without hiding Samsung Keyboard.
