Earlier this week, Samsung released a software update to the Galaxy S21 FE, which brought the September 2024 security patch to the phone. Initially, the company made it available for the carrier-locked variant and then expanded it to the factory-unlocked model. Now, the tech giant has released it for the European and international variants of the phone, which have model numbers SM-G990B, SM-G990B2, and SM-G990E.
The new software update changes the firmware version of the SM-G990B to G990BXXS9GXI1, SM-G990B2 to G990B2XXS8GXI1, and SM-G990E to G990EXXSAFXI3. The September 2024 security patch fixes 67 security vulnerabilities. The update for the international variant is currently live in Thailand and Vietnam.
