Samsung is updating one more Galaxy device with the latest security patch. The Galaxy S21 lineup is getting a new update that brings with it the June 2023 security patch, with the rollout kicking off in some European countries including Austria and Switzerland.
As always, you can try downloading the latest update directly on your phone using a Wi-Fi or mobile data connection from its Settings » Software update menu or download the full firmware from our archive and install it on the phone using a Windows PC.
According to the changelog, the June 2023 update for the Galaxy S21 series improves stability, reliability, and device behavior. It's all vague and not really interesting, but it's always good to see Samsung updating devices that have been on the market for nearly two years with updates that aren't just focused on security fixes.
And in just a few months, the Galaxy S21 lineup will also be getting a big update that will bring new features. We're talking about Android 14 and One UI 6.0 of course – the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra launched running Android 11 and are eligible for two more major Android OS upgrades. The same goes for the Galaxy S21 FE, though that device will end its life on a newer version of Android because it launched with Android 12 on-board.
