Samsung has started rolling out the March 2024 security update to the Galaxy S21 series in several countries worldwide, including the US. The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S23, and Galaxy S24 series have already received the update.
The update could be released in other countries soon.
Galaxy S21 gets March 2024 security update in Europe, Latin America, and North America
The new software update for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra comes bearing firmware version G99xBXXS9FXBD in European and Latin American countries.
In the US, the carrier-locked units of the Galaxy S21 series are getting the update with firmware version G991USQSAFXC2. It is available on Dish and T-Mobile networks. Factory-unlocked Galaxy S21 units are getting updated with firmware version G991U1UESAFXBC on all carrier networks.
What's new with the March 2024 security update?
The March 2024 security update fixes 44 vulnerabilities in the previous software versions. It doesn't include any new features or performance improvements.
