Samsung has started rolling out the November 2023 security update to the Galaxy S21 series. This isn't the first phone to get the new security patch, though. Several affordable phones, including the Galaxy A03, Galaxy A21s, and Galaxy M01, have already received the November 2023 security update, and more phones will get it over the next few weeks.
Galaxy S21 gets November 2023 security update in Europe
The new software update is available for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra in Europe. It has a download size of around 265MB and comes bearing firmware version G998BXXS9EWJO. The update is available in all European countries, including Switzerland. It brings the November 2023 security patch that fixes 65 security flaws found in Samsung's smartphones and tablets.
If you live in Europe and have a Galaxy S21 series phone, you can now check for the new update right away. If you are a Galaxy S21 series user outside of Europe, you may need to wait for a few more days before the update hits your device. To check for the new update, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the new firmware from our database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 series in early 2021 with Android 11 onboard. It received the Android 12 update in late 2021 and the Android 13 update in late 2022. The phones have already received the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 beta update in some countries, and the stable update might be released later this month or early next month.
