Samsung's One UI 4.0 beta program went live in India for the Galaxy S21 series earlier today. Participating users can now install the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 beta software on their Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, or the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Apart from Material You color themes, the update also brings the RAM Plus feature to the phones.
Galaxy S21 series smartphones running One UI 4.0 beta software now have access to 4GB of RAM Plus (virtual memory) to keep even more apps and games in memory. This feature has already been released to some other mid-range and high-end smartphones like the Galaxy A52 5G, Galaxy A52s 5G, Galaxy M52 5G, and the Galaxy Z Fold 3. It is possible that this feature could be released to most Galaxy smartphones and tablets that will get the One UI 4.0 update in the future.
Samsung has also brought the Mic Mode for video calls with the One UI 4.0 Beta 2 update. The company has also improved input accuracy with Samsung Keyboard. The new software also brings some bug fixes, improved power efficiency, and better thermal management.
The One UI 4.0 beta program is currently available for the Galaxy S21 series in Germany, India, South Korea, the UK, and the US. Have you enrolled your smartphone to test this beta software? Let us know in the comments section below.
