Earlier today, Samsung released the stable Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update to the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra in Europe. That update was meant for the Exynos 2200 versions of the smartphones. Now, the update has also been released for the Snapdragon versions of the Galaxy S22.
The stable Android 13 update is now available for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra in India, and it can be seen as a Diwali gift for Indian users. It comes with firmware version S90xEXXU2BVJA and the October 2022 security patch. While those who are already running One UI 5.0 Beta on their Galaxy S22 devices are getting a 350MB update, devices running One UI 4.1.1 will get an update with a much bigger download size.
If you have a Galaxy S22 series smartphone in Europe or India, you can now download the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the appropriate firmware from our firmware database and flash it manually.
The Android 13 update brings a revamped UI design, featuring the expanded Color Palette feature, easier and more intuitive lock screen customizations, and stacked widgets. Samsung has improved all of its stock apps as well. The update also brings improved performance, Bixby Text Call, individual video backgrounds for calls, and better image and video editing.
