Galaxy S23 owners can finally download the stable version of Android 14 and One UI 6 starting today, but Samsung isn't forgetting about Galaxy phones that are still running the One UI 6 beta firmware. Samsung released the fourth One UI 6 beta update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 a few hours ago, and it is now rolling out a new beta update for the Galaxy S22 users.
One UI 6 beta 3 for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra sports firmware version ZWJN. The first market to get it is Korea; other markets where the beta is available should also get the new build shortly.
The third Galaxy S22 One UI 6 beta update brings bug fixes and improves overall stability. Samsung said last week that the new S22 beta would incorporate feedback from the One UI 6 beta for the Galaxy S23 series, and while nothing like that is mentioned in the changelog, expect your S22, S22+, or S22 Ultra to run better than it did before.
In the list of known issues, Samsung says that some bank apps may not work for Korean users after installing the latest build. Funnily enough, even improved software stability is mentioned as a known issue in the changelog, though that's probably a typo that went unnoticed because of how busy things are at Samsung on the Android 14/One UI 6 update front today.
To download the third beta update, go to the phone's Settings app, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install. If you're using the beta on your daily driver, remember to make a backup before proceeding with the installation.
