While Galaxy S22 users eagerly await the One UI 6.1 update for their phones, Samsung has released a new security update to their devices instead. The Galaxy S22 series has started getting the April 2024 security update in the European region.
Galaxy S22 users in Europe can now install April 2024 security update
The new software update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra is now available in Europe. It comes with firmware version S90xBXXS8DXD2 and has a relatively smaller download size. It includes the April 2024 security patch that fixes dozens of security vulnerabilities discovered in the past few months. The update doesn't include any new features or performance improvements.
You can now check for the new update if you live in Europe and have a Galaxy S22 series phone. To do that, open the Settings app on your phone, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install. You can also download the appropriate firmware file from our database and flash it manually. You need to be well-versed in the manual firmware flashing process, though.
