Galaxy S22’s One UI 6.1.1 lands in the USA

Last week, Samsung released Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 to the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra, which brought many new features to the smartphone, including new Galaxy AI features and One UI enhancements. Intially, the company made it available in South Korea, then extended it to Asian regions, including India, and now, it the rolling out the new software to units in the United States of America.

Samsung has started rolling out a software update that offers Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 to the carrier-unlocked variants of the Galaxy S22 series smartphones for the USA. It has firmware version S901U1UEU6EXH9. At the moment, the update is live for devices on AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular South, Comcast, Cricket, DISH, MetroPCS, Nextech, T-Mobile, Tracfone, US Cellular, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile.

Apart from One UI 6.1.1, the software update also offers the September 2024 security patch, which fixes 67 security issues. Expect the company to expand the update to other variants of the Galaxy S22 series phones in the next few weeks. It is also working on Android 15-based One UI 7.0, which will come out by the end of this year.
