However, there are still a few weeks to go for Samsung to roll out the update to its flagship phones from 2022. In the meantime, the South Korean tech giant is pushing a minor software update to these devices that offers the December 2024 security patch.

The December 2024 security patch fixes several security issues present in the previous version of the software and some Exynos chips. At the moment, Samsung is rolling it out to the international versions of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which have model numbers SM-S901B, SM-S906B, and SM-S908B. The build number of the new firmware is S90xBXXSDEXKA.

To get the latest update, you have to follow the same process that you have been following since you got the phone to get other updates, which is to either click on the notification you got about the new firmware or go to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
