UPDATE: Samsung India reached out confirming that the Galaxy S22 pre-order date in India is set for February 23.
Indian consumers looking to get their hands on the Galaxy S22 will be pleased to know that Samsung has officially unveiled the local pricing in a region-specific event. An earlier leak tried to predict the prices but missed the mark by a significant margin. Without any further ado, here's how much a Galaxy S22 series smartphone will cost in India.
The vanilla Galaxy S22 will cost INR 72,999 in India for the base version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. An identically-specced Galaxy S22+ will cost you INR 84,999. Lastly, the Galaxy S22 Ultra with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage will set you back by INR 1,09,999. Refer to the below image for the complete price.
As predicted earlier, Samsung isn't bringing all the Galaxy S22 colour variants to India. Even the Galaxy S22 Ultra 1 TB storage version seems to be missing entirely. Interestingly enough, Samsung neglected to mention anything about pre-order offers, the pre-order date or even when the devices will be available for purchase.
At the very least, Samsung officially confirmed that all Galaxy S22 series phones sold in India will run the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. This is all the information we have about the Galaxy S22 series' Indian variant. We'll be sure to update the post once Samsung sheds more light on the matter.
