Galaxy S22 gets March 2023 security update minutes after Galaxy S23

Earlier today, Samsung announced the March 2023 security update for its Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Just minutes ago, the new security update went live for the Galaxy S23 series. Now, the Galaxy S22 series has started getting the newest security update in European countries.

The latest software update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra brings the March 2023 security update to the phones. It comes with firmware version S90xBXXU3CWBE (via GalaxyClub) and is available in European countries, including Germany and the Netherlands. Other countries worldwide could get access to Samsung's new security update within the next few days.

If you are a Galaxy S22 series user in Europe, you can download and install the March 2023 security update on your smartphone by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

The Galaxy S22 series was launched By Samsung early last year with Android 12-based One UI 4.1 out of the box. The devices in the lineup received the Android 13 update a few months ago. They will get three more Android OS updates in the future.
