Samsung has finally released the One UI 6.0 beta update to the Galaxy S22 series in India. This update comes one week after the company released the One UI 6.0 beta update to the Galaxy S22 series in South Korea and the UK. More countries could get access to the One UI 6.0 beta update for the Galaxy S22 soon.
Galaxy S22 gets One UI 6.0 beta update in India
The first One UI 6.0 beta update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with firmware version S908EXXU7ZWI6 in India. It is a 2.8GB update and includes the September 2023 security patch. If you want to beta-test the One UI 6.0 beta software on your Galaxy S22 series phone, you need to download the Samsung Members app. Once it is downloaded and installed, log into the app using your Samsung account that is used in the Galaxy S22 series phone, and then tap on the One UI 6.0 Beta Program banner on the app's home screen.
Once your Galaxy S22 series phone is registered to beta-test the One UI 6.0 beta update, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. Remember, this is the beta update based on Android 14, so it will be buggy and have some performance and stability issues. So, we advise you not to install this update if your Galaxy S22 is your primary device.
The One UI 6.0 update is based on Android 14, and it brings dozens of new and improved features. Samsung has completely revamped the quick setting toggles area, slightly refreshed the notifications design, and improved the Share Sheet menu. All the stock apps, including the Camera app, have received an improved design and many new features. You can view all of those new features and design changes in our in-depth One UI 6.0 video below.
