In addition to rolling out Android 14 and One UI 6 to more and more devices every few days, Samsung is busy making sure the update becomes more widely available to devices that have already received it in some markets.
Today, those who own an unlocked Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra in the USA can download the Android update on their phone. The update is rolling out for the three models over the air and comes with firmware version DWK5.

Along with the new features that are a part of Android 14 and One UI 6, like a redesigned quick panel, new camera options including a home screen widget, more advanced photo editing tools, improved accessibility, and more, the update brings the November 2023 security patch. The December patch has already been detailed by Samsung, but we're still waiting for it to arrive on a Galaxy smartphone or tablet.
If you're rocking an unlocked Galaxy S22, S22+, or S22 Ultra, you should be able to download the update by tapping the Download and install option in the phone's Settings » Software update menu. Try that a few times if the update doesn't show up on the first attempt. If that doesn't work out, you can download Android 14 firmware for your S22 model from our archive and install it on the phone using a Windows PC.
