It looks like the Galaxy S22 series is getting its first software update. Samsung had launched the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra earlier this month, and pre-orders have started reaching select customers in a few countries. It is possible that most people would find their brand new device showing an update notification once they start it for the first time.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra series comes with firmware version S90xEXXU1AVB3, and it is currently rolling out in Afghanistan and Egypt. More countries will likely get the over the next few days. In some countries, the smartphones might ship with the February 2022 security update pre-installed.
Samsung had mentioned on its software documentation that the February 2022 security patch fixes over 60 privacy and security vulnerabilities found in Galaxy smartphones.
If you are a Galaxy S22 series smartphone user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can now check for the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install.
