Galaxy S22 series goes on pre-order in Samsung’s home country

The Galaxy S22 was made official last week during the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event. Today, Samsung has announced that it has started accepting pre-orders for its new high-end smartphones in South Korea. The company is offering some fantastic pre-order benefits to those who pre-order the Galaxy S22.

Galaxy S22 pricing in South Korea

The pre-order period ends on February 21, 2022, and general sales of the Galaxy S22 series will start on February 25, 2022. The Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22+ are available in 128GB and 256GB variants. The vanilla Galaxy S22 is priced at KRW 999,900 (around $833), while the Galaxy S22+ comes with a starting price of KRW 1,199,000 (around $999). The two smartphones can be purchased in Green, Phantom Black, Phantom White, and Pink Gold color variants.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra is priced at KRW 1,45,200 (around $1,210) for the 256GB variant and KRW 1,551,000 (around $1,292) for the 512GB variant. It will be available in four color variants: Burgundy, Green, Phantom Black, and Phantom White.

Samsung is also selling exclusive color variants of its new high-end phones. The Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22+ will be available in Cream, Graphite, Sky Blue, and Violet color variants through Samsung's online store. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will be available in Graphite, Red, and Sky Blue variants exclusively through the company's online store. Samsung will also sell the 1TB variant of the Galaxy S22 Ultra through its own store, and the phone is priced at KRW 1,749,000 (around $1,457).

The three smartphones can be pre-ordered through Coupang, GMarket, Samsung Digital Plaza, Samsung Online Store, and all three South Korean cellular carriers. Samsung's Galaxy To Go service will be opened for the Galaxy S22 series, and people can do a trial run of the smartphone before making a purchase decision.

Galaxy S22 pre-order benefits in South Korea

To make things sweeter, Samsung is offering various benefits to those who pre-order a Galaxy S22 series smartphone. Galaxy S22 buyers get a KRW 100,000 coupon for free, while Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra buyers get a KRW 150,000 coupon that can be used to buy other Samsung products such as the Galaxy Buds Pro, Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Watch 4, or The Freestyle projector.

Pre-orders also come with a ‘Lucky Box' that could contain Galaxy Buds Live, Galaxy Watch 4 Bespoke, Wireless Charging Solo, or Galaxy ecosystem products. It also includes a Samsung case of buyer's choice. Samsung will also offer additional trade-in benefits to existing Galaxy smartphone users while purchasing the Galaxy S22.

Additional benefits include NFT related to the Galaxy S22 series through Theta Network, a 30% discount on Galaxy Watch 4, various digital content, 100GB free OneDrive space for six months, YouTube Premium subscription for four months, 50 Naver Webtoons cookies, and a 3-month subscription to Willa. Customers also get the Samsung Care+ premium service subscription for free with Galaxy S22 pre-orders.
