With Samsung's flagship smartphone launches for 2021 out of the way, fans can now turn their attention towards the Galaxy S22 series. The company is due to launch the new lineup early next year.
It hasn't confirmed anything about the new devices at this point in time. However, there's no shortage of rumors and leaks concerning the devices. The latest suggests that the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ design will take some inspiration from the iPhone 13.
Galaxy S22 design might take inspiration from the iPhone 13
According to the Twitter-based leakster @UniverseIce, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ will essentially look like the iPhone 13 without a notch. Samsung uses the Infinity-O display for its devices which is why they don't have a notch in the first place.
It's further claimed that both devices are going to have a flat display panel. This isn't a shocking revelation as flat displays have already been rumored for the devices. The new flagships may also have symmetrical bezels to finish off the look.
The leaked dummy units of the Galaxy S22 that we saw a little while back pointed to a similar design language for the upcoming handsets. So it's quite possible that the observations made by the leakster might have some truth to them.
We still have a few months to go until Samsung makes these handsets official so things could change by then. It was previously expected that the Galaxy S22 series would be launched in January 2022. However, we now hear that the Galaxy S22 launch is scheduled for February 2022.
